Snatch Strap failure! (Not a SECURETECH strap)

In our recent travels into the paradise of Namibia we came across a certain gentleman who was happy to complain about a ‘SECURETECH’ strap failure and then proceeded to forward the video clip above and photos below.

The strap failed twice. However on inspection the strap was not a SECURETECH strap.  It was a white ‘8 ton’ kinetic strap purchased from a different manufacturer. 

Apart from using a strap which has not been tested and certified, the recovery was also executed incorrectly with excessive speed.
